Multiple Teams · JV Red Sweeps Copperas Cove in District Opener


The JV Red baseball team opened district with a doubleheader against Copperas Cove on Thursday night. The Panthers defeated Cove in Game 1 by a score of 16-0 and Game 2  by a score of 9-0. In Game 1, the Panthers started out quickly by posting 10 runs in the bottom half of the first inning. The Panthers would continue to tack on 6 more by the end of the 5th. The Red was led by a great performance on the mound by Jordan Tindell. Tindell pitched 5 shutout innings.  Offensively, the Panthers had tremendous contributions from the entire lineup. Game two was another good performance for the Panthers. The Panthers bats were hot again and led to 9 runs. On the mound for the Panthers, Logan Pace held the Cove Bulldogs scoreless. It was a really good night for the Panthers and a great start to District play. The JV Red will be on the road to Harker Heights next Thursday, March 23rd.
